Tour Price
The price of your tour will be shown during the booking process and confirmed in your Travel Contract and Booking Confirmation. Tour prices do not include international airfare or any other services not specifically listed as included. After your booking is confirmed, the tour price may only be revised in the limited circumstances set out in our General Terms and Conditions.
Tour Language
Italy in a Week operates in English, with Spanish available on selected departures. You can select your preferred language when booking. English is always available, while Spanish is subject to confirmation no later than 60 days before departure. For bookings made less than 60 days before departure, Spanish availability will be confirmed before booking.
Included in the Price of Your Tour
Your Italy in a Week tour includes your accommodation, transportation during the tour as described in the itinerary, the services of a Veditalia Tour Leader, local guides where indicated, meals specifically listed as included, and the travel protection associated with the Standard or Flex Formula selected at booking. The exact services included in your tour are shown in your itinerary, Technical Sheet and Travel Contract and Booking Confirmation.
Itineraries are Subject to change
Travel sometimes requires flexibility. Hotels, transportation, meeting points, timings or the order of visits may occasionally need to change for operational reasons or because of circumstances beyond our control. Whenever possible, we will preserve the overall quality and character of the tour. Significant changes will be handled in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions.
Tour Payments
To book a tour departing 60 days or more from the date of booking, you must pay a deposit of €300 per traveler. Your remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. If you book less than 60 days before departure, the full tour price must be paid at the time of booking. Payment alone does not confirm your reservation: your booking becomes binding once Veditalia accepts it and issues your Travel Contract and Booking Confirmation.
Tour Confirmation
Confirmation of your individual booking is not the same as confirmation that the tour will operate. Italy in a Week requires a minimum of 12 confirmed travelers and has a maximum group size of 30 travelers. Once the minimum number has been reached, Veditalia will issue a Departure Confirmation confirming that the tour is scheduled to operate.
Solo Travelers and Single Supplements
Travelers who want a private room can request single occupancy for a supplement equal to €400 of the applicable tour price, unless a different amount is stated at booking. The supplement guarantees a private room, but not a larger room, an upgraded category, a particular view or additional amenities. Single rooms are subject to availability and confirmation by Veditalia.
Changes to Your Booking
Need to change something after your booking has been confirmed? Let us know as soon as possible. Changes to departure dates, accommodation arrangements, traveler details or other booking elements are subject to availability and operational feasibility, and additional supplier costs or administrative charges may apply. Where permitted by applicable law, you may also request to transfer your package booking to another eligible traveler.
Cancellations and Refunds
Your deposit is 100% refundable for 30 calendar days from the date it is received by Veditalia.
If the final payment due date (60 days before departure) falls within this 30-day period, the deposit refund period will be reduced and will end on the final payment due date.
After the applicable refund period has expired, the deposit is no longer automatically refundable.
Some tours include nominative tickets purchased in advance. If these tickets are non-refundable, their cost may be deducted from any applicable cancellation refund.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to [email protected]. Your cancellation becomes effective on the date it is received by Veditalia.
Travel Protection
Travel protection is included in every Italy in a Week booking. The Standard Formula includes the insurance coverage applicable to that option but does not include Trip Cancellation Insurance. The Flex Formula includes the Standard coverage plus additional Trip Cancellation Insurance. Insurance coverage, claims, limits and exclusions are governed by the applicable Insurance Documentation, and claims are handled directly by the Insurance Provider.
If We cancel Your Tour
If Veditalia cancels your tour because the minimum number of travelers has not been reached or in other circumstances covered by our General Terms and Conditions, the amounts paid for the canceled package will be refunded within 14 days. We may also offer another scheduled Italy in a Week departure when available, but you are not required to accept it. Costs for flights, hotels or other services booked independently outside the Veditalia package are normally your responsibility.
Participation
Italy in a Week is an active group tour. Historic Italian cities often mean cobbled streets, uneven surfaces, stairs, periods of standing and areas with limited vehicle access. Travelers should be comfortable participating independently in the planned activities and getting on and off the transportation used during the tour.
Tour Member Expectations
To help the tour run smoothly, we ask every traveler to:
- Be comfortable walking for reasonable periods through historic centers, including on cobbled or uneven streets and stairs.
- Be able to board and leave the transportation used during the tour without continuous personal assistance.
- Manage their own luggage and personal belongings within reasonable limits.
- Be ready at the meeting point at the time communicated by the Tour Leader, guide or Veditalia staff.
- Follow reasonable safety and operational instructions and behave respectfully towards fellow travelers, guides, drivers, suppliers and local communities.
Travelers with reduced mobility, medical conditions or other needs that could affect participation should contact Veditalia before booking so that the suitability of the tour can be discussed.
Be On Time
Group departures, transportation, guided visits and booked activities cannot always wait for late travelers. If you miss a departure because you are late, the group may continue without you and you will normally be responsible for arranging and paying for your own transportation or other costs needed to rejoin the tour. Missed services will not normally be refunded.
Traveling Together
A group tour works best when everyone respects the people around them. Behavior that creates a safety risk, seriously disrupts the tour or materially affects other travelers may result in exclusion from an activity or, in serious cases, termination of participation in the tour. Travelers removed because of their own serious misconduct will normally be responsible for any additional transportation, accommodation or other costs that result.
Pack Smart
Unless otherwise stated in your Technical Sheet, each traveler may bring one standard suitcase and one small personal item. Please choose luggage that you can manage yourself when necessary. Oversized or excessive luggage may require separate arrangements if it cannot safely or reasonably be accommodated on the transportation used during the tour.
Full Tour Terms
These Tour Conditions are a practical summary of the main rules that apply to Italy in a Week. Your booking remains subject to the complete Italy in a Week General Terms and Conditions, your Travel Contract and Booking Confirmation and the other contractual documents applicable to your booking.
